Ambleside to the waterfalls §

We began at our cottage in Blue Hill Road, walked down to Ambleside and then up towards Stock Ghyll Woods.

The return journey §

Leaving the top end of the woods, we followed the road uphill before turning left at a stile on the path towards Wansfell Pike. Though we did not head for the summit, but turned right to follow the old road track down to Blue Hill Road.
