Privacy & analytics

What data is gathered and how?

This website uses Plausible for web analytics, which lets me see how many impressions each page is getting, grouped by country, or via referrer (e.g. Google, DuckDuckGo, GitHub, etc). Plausible claims to be privacy focused.

This website is hosted by Netlify who, according to their GDPR notice, log the IP address of visitors to this website, stored for less than 30 days.

Why?

📈 I use the analytics data to see which pages are getting viewed and which are not. Sometimes I will tidy up older/messier pages if they start to get more attention.
